There are two types of tires like pneumatic tires and airless tires. The pneumatic tires are filled with air. These are very light in weight and give smoother ride. But pneumatic tire has the main disadvantage that it punctures due to the piercing of sharp object into tire or because of the high pressure on the wheelchair. Due to a lot of puncturing of tire, you have to replace the tube. The airless tire is filled with rubber or something else. It does not give smooth ride but it lasts for a long time.
